Juried Art Show 2026

 

What:

The Texas Arts & Music Festival (TAMF) is proud to host its 3rd Annual Juried Art Exhibition. This year, the exhibition will expand beyond the festival weekend and remain on display throughout the month of October, with an artist reception held on opening night of the festival.

When:

Exhibition Dates: October 1-31

Festival Opening Night – Meet the Artists: Friday, October 16

Where:

Brenham Heritage Museum 105 South Market Street Brenham, TX 77833 Admission to the museum will be waived during the festival weekend, October 16-17.

Eligibility & Submission Information:

  • Artists of all experience levels are encouraged to apply.
  • All forms of 2-dimensional artwork are eligible for submission.
  • 3-dimensional artwork is also welcome, provided the artist supplies any necessary display accommodations.
  • Submission fee: $10 per artwork
  • Maximum of three (3) submissions per artist
  • Submission fees are non-refundable, regardless of selection status.

Artists whose work is selected for the exhibition will receive additional details regarding artwork delivery and display requirements. Artists may offer their work for sale; however, all sales must be handled directly by the artist. Artwork sold during the exhibition must remain on display through October 31.

Art Requirements:

  • Artwork must be ready to hang or display upon delivery.
  • Artwork must weigh less than 10 pounds.
  • Three-dimensional works must include any required display stands or supports.

All artwork must be suitable for public viewing by audiences of all ages. Explicit, violent, or otherwise offensive subject matter will not be accepted. Judging & Awards: Artwork will be evaluated by a panel of professional, impartial artists, including this year’s featured muralists, prior to the exhibition opening.

Awards:

  • First Place: $300
  • Second Place: $150
  • Third Place: $75

Silent Art Auction:

The Texas Arts & Music Festival is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the arts, strengthening arts education, and creating a lasting cultural legacy in Washington County. Festival admission remains free thanks to the generosity of volunteers, sponsors, donors, and community partners.

As in previous years, participating artists are invited to donate a small piece of artwork to our Silent Art Auction, which will take place primarily during festival weekend.

  • Participation in the auction is completely optional.
  • Any artist accepted into the Juried Art Exhibition is eligible to donate.
  • Artists who donate an auction piece will receive a complimentary festival booth space (a $200 value).

Additional information about the auction will be provided to selected artists.
